I am a psychotherapist and counselor with an office located in Folsom, California. My office is part of the healing collective Mind Garden, which is located in The Courtyard in Old Town Folsom by the light rail station at:

The Courtyard is very close to the Farmers’ Market/Folsom Station Plaza. There is free street parking in front of my office that is frequently available during the week, especially mornings, as well as a free parking garage.

Please enter the courtyard and proceed to our main entry; I will meet you in the front lobby at the time our our appointment.

Accessibility

This end of Sutter Street is fairly flat, but there is a steep uphill if you head southeast from Sutter Street into the housing on parallel streets. Most of the parking spots in front of the office require parallel parking, and the driver exits the car onto the street. From the street, the driver will need to go up a single step onto the sidewalk.

The nearby garage is free, modernized, and has designated accessible spaces. It is located 1/10th of a mile from The Courtyard, so visitors with limited mobility might opt to use mobility aids for that transition. The sidewalks around the building are spacious and relatively smooth. Tactile paving marks the crosswalks from street and garage parking to my office, and the crosswalks are wheelchair accessible.

The Courtyard has a locking gate which is unlocked and opened during business hours. Please enter the courtyard and follow the paved path to the main entrance. Our front door is lightweight and opens to the outside. I am available to help with this at our session time. A subtle ramp has been made over the threshold to the waiting room. Inside, the floor is smooth and uncluttered. The restroom is designed to accommodate a wheelchair and has a grab bar. Reaching my office requires the use of either a single step or a wheelchair-accessible ramp with handrail. Inside my office there is a regular-sized couch for you and room for mobility aids.

Online Therapy

I also conduct counseling as an online therapist who only accepts clients located in California. We meet through the video-based communication tool VSee. It’s like Skype but with safety features suitable for confidential healthcare interactions. You will need a private place to meet, plus a computer with a reliable high-speed internet connection, a web camera, and sound. I will walk you through the VSee setup during our initial phone call. Online therapy is only suitable for people who are relatively comfortable with computer technology.
